While I realize that the winter storm Jupiter caused problems for many people,  I still want to say “Thank You”.  For our farm, it was wonderful.  Rare January moisture, combined with warm temperatures was so welcome.img_20170115_170034499_hdr

First we had a bit of ice, but nothing to complain about.  The power stayed on.

Then more ice with some snow.   And snow with no wind!  Unheard of in these parts!

The temperature stayed around 32-34 degrees.  Most pleasant for a January snow.

This is good assurance for a great start to our crop growing season and grass season for our livestock.  We feel blessed!

We are having snow right now without wind! LOVE IT! It’s not hard to work outside with the winter wind doesn’t exist!

It’s amazing how much difference it makes when the wind doesn’t blow. 😊

Awesome photos! Makes me feel cool just looking at them – we’re having some serious heat over here in Australia (it’s summer).

Mid summer now – fortunately the hot days are usually only a few at a time and then we get a bit of respite with cooler days 🙂
