CUTE CHICKS

You know I’m right.   Those beady little eyes,  wobbly legs and shrill little voices are pure cuteness!image

These are Partridge Rock Bantams.  My third and Final batch of chicks for this summer.  The coyotes have all but cleaned me out of chickens, so it’s time to restock.

They come running when I pick up oatmeal for them, just like they would do if I was really Mama.

Eating, drinking and resting.  It’s a chicks’ life.

Oh I don’t blame you. I have been around chickens my whole life, save a few months here and there.

They were all new to us when I started, then we got hooked. So many fun years with them.
I used to sit early eves just watching them and relaxing.

So very relaxing! Nothing eases stress like taking some bread out to feed the chickens. Thank you! 😊

I used to have a standard Barred Plymouth Rock hen (Alice), who would actually ride on the handlebars of my bike! I love chickens 🙂
