…Nature, that is….

We got 3 to 4 inches of snow last night and today.  Nothing too bad at all.  The winds have blown around 30 mph.  all night and day.  Again, not bad for here.

The actual snow stopped around noon, but the winds continue,  which results in Ground Blizzards.  I think there are people out there who have never experienced this act of nature.  They are just a fact of life in windy areas, and can be just as dangerous as if it were still snowing.

There is a beautiful side effect of the wind and snow.  Every single clump of grass, every stick and tree catches snow and has a sculpture around it.

Depending on the length of the storm and the snowfall amount, these can be absolutely fantastic.

If this is what drifts look like from 3 or 4 inches, can you imagine what a big snow does?

Art in its purest form.

It is beautiful. How can anyone look at such natural beauty and not believe there’s a Divine Creator?

I so agree! I love to stand in the blizzard, feel the wind and power and know that it’s nothing compared to the One who set it all in motion. 😊

I love those pictures! I lived in central Kansas for several years, and I remember those snow drifts. Once our front door was completely blocked with several feet of snow, but we could walk right out the back door. Just depended on which way the wind was blowing!

Yes, we are usually at the mercy of the wind here. I would actually miss seeing a good old fashioned blizzard, if I moved. It’s a little boring to just have snow falling, I guess. 😄

Your photos are stunning! You captured everything just perfectly…although, wind and snow is NOT a good thing together.

Thank you Linda, and I agree about the wind and snow! This didn’t amount to much of a storm for us, so it was easier to enjoy.
