Look what I did!
Look what I did!

Rain is vital to our land and we were so thankful for the blessing of moisture to get our wheat up.   With that being said, if it rains during harvest, it comes with complications.   Like Mud!  I had a chuckle at the different reactions of my son in law and my daughter.

Mud during harvest was a fact of life growing up on an Indiana farm. All the tractors had log chains in the tool box just in case, and they would get used a few times. One of dad’s gravity wagons trailed a little too the side after I buried it to the frame loaded and we did some damage getting it unstuck. Oh the sloppy memories…😁

Yes, sloppy memories. Lol! I’m sure we don’t deal with mud near as often here. We have usually been lucky not to get too many things stuck. The tension can be cut with a knife when we do though!

It has rained here all day. What a great start for our winter. Only a little more cutting left!
