PRAIRIE PRINCE

The pronghorn is the only living species of the subfamily Antilocaprinae.

I think they are the perfect representation of the North American prairies they are native to.

Their coloring mimics the colors of the landscape.

Like the beauty of the prairie, you often have to seek them out and be watching or you will miss them.  Notice how the group is already nervous and moving out after only a couple of quick snaps of the camera?

I find them beautiful and fascinating…..

They tend to keep a certain distance. We have them around 1/2 mile from our house quite often. I love being able to look out my kitchen window and see them. 😊
